Coherence-Centered Care™ is a simple, respectful, and profoundly human approach to supporting the body’s natural ability to organize, adapt, and function at its best.


It is not about fixing people.
It is not about chasing symptoms.
It is about helping the system return to a more organized, more coordinated, and more coherent state of being.


At the heart of this work is a foundational truth:

Life functions best when the system is organized.


When organization is lost, life becomes harder.


When organization is restored, life becomes easier.


That restoration of organization is what we call coherence.


Coherence: The Natural State of a Well-Functioning System 


Coherence simply means that the parts of a system are working together in harmony.

In a coherent system:


  • The nervous system communicates clearly
  • Muscles and fascia coordinate efficiently
  • Energy is used wisely
  • Adaptation to stress becomes easier
  • The individual feels more present, capable, and resilient


Coherence is not perfection.
It is not the absence of stress.
It is the ability to handle life.


Every person and every animal experiences periods of both coherence and incoherence.
This is a normal part of living.


But when stress accumulates faster than the system can adapt, organization can begin to break down.
This is where Coherence-Centered Care becomes valuable.


The Coherence Cascade


We describe this process as the Coherence Cascade.

Life naturally moves through cycles of stress and recovery.
When stress is manageable, the system adapts and returns to balance.
When stress becomes overwhelming or prolonged, the system may shift into states of reduced organization.

These states can show up in many ways, such as:


  • Feeling constantly “on edge” or unable to relax
  • Mental fog or difficulty focusing
  • Poor sleep or low energy
  • Irritability or emotional exhaustion
  • Feeling shut down, withdrawn, or disconnected
  • Decreased performance at work, school, or athletics
  • A general sense that life feels harder than it should


In animals, it may appear as:


  • Changes in posture or movement
  • Restlessness or withdrawal
  • Difficulty training or focusing
  • Reduced performance
  • Behavioral changes within the herd or pack


These are not diagnoses.
They are signals that the system may be working harder than necessary to maintain order.


Coherence-Centered Care helps the system reorganize so life can flow more easily again.


The Role of the Professional Coherence Facilitator


A Professional Coherence Facilitator does not diagnose conditions or treat disease.
Instead, they carefully observe patterns of organization and coordination within the system.

Using a simple and repeatable process, the facilitator:


  1. Locates areas of reduced organization (incoherence)
  2. Provides a precise Attunement
  3. Allows the body’s innate intelligence to reorganize itself


We do not force change.
We do not push the body to perform.
We simply provide the right input, at the right place, at the right time.

The body does the rest.


The Four Inputs of Coherence-Centered Care


Coherence-Centered Care uses four gentle, universal inputs that the body naturally understands.

These inputs are not therapies.
They are forms of communication with the nervous system and the body’s organizing intelligence.


Coherent Sound

Clear, consistent tones help the nervous system settle into rhythm and coordination.


Coherent Vibration

Precise mechanical vibration provides information that the body can use to reorganize tension and movement.


Gentle Impulse

A brief, focused mechanical input helps the system reset patterns of coordination.


Light Contact

Calm, steady contact—sometimes combined with coherent light—provides stability and reassurance to the nervous system.

Together, these inputs support the system’s natural ability to reorganize itself.
